Funds Industry in the UK
The UK authorised funds market is one of Europe’s most mature and continues to enjoy significant growth. Today it contains over 2000 authorised funds managed by over 100 management groups with total assets of £450bn.*
In the UK closed ended sector there are total industry assets of approximately £90 billion derived from around 450 investment companies consisting of:
- Conventional companies
- Venture capital trusts (VCTs)
- Investment companies
